Hello! I'm Sarah Bach-Bergs, RYT200, and I am the face and heart behind Yoga with Sarah BB.
I have been a yoga instructor and educator in various forms for over a decade and have guided classes and trainings at various studios including Blooma (Twin Cities, MN), Heartwork Yoga Studio (Northfield, MN) and personally (both virtually and in-person). I also lead yoga classes at various gatherings, women’s retreats, breweries, cideries, and more.
I am grateful to those whom I've received my training from and am proud of the
comprehensive 200-hour trauma-conscious yoga teacher training that I
completed with the House of the Gathering Yoga School (HGYS) in Duluth,
MN. This training specifically opened my eyes to how our bodies are an
integral part of our mental and physical well-being and most
importantly, how yoga and conscious movement is a vital part of healing
and embodiment. It is an honor to walk with journey with others.
I have additional trainings and certifications in prenatal/postnatal yoga, trauma-conscious yoga, yin yoga, and yoga therapy. I am also trained in Bring Your Own Baby (BYOB) Yoga, modeled after Lisa Bergley's Yoga Bonding sequence, which invites babies and their caregivers to bond through loving touch, sight, sound, and movement.
Overall, I prefer to guide yoga through the lens of self-trust and accessibility with a focus on pranayama as the foundational piece of any practice we enter into. With a light-hearted approach that encourages curiosity, playfulness and self-acceptance, it is also my intention to hold space for somatic exploration and unfolding through the asana practice.
I
am passionate about making yoga feel safe, sacred and transformational
for all. I believe that the body - not just the mind - holds an
infinite amount of wisdom and knowledge. With this as a starting point,
my class offerings point to the fact that through the practice of yoga,
we hold the key to unlocking the wisdom that we hold within - if only we
are brave enough to simply show up.
A lover of the outdoors, wood burning stoves, deep conversation, full-bodied laughter and traveling, I am here to help you authentically explore your inner landscape and move forward with a sense of grounding and connection.
